Why this exists
I started Live Well Offers because every "deals" site I bookmarked eventually turned into the same thing — pages of low-effort listicles, expired coupons, and whatever the algorithm rewarded that week. The good offers were buried, the bad ones were boosted, and you could feel the writer hadn't actually used any of it.
I wanted a smaller place. One person, a manageable shortlist, and the simple promise that if it shows up here I would genuinely consider it for my own family. That is the whole pitch.
How I pick offers
Every offer on the site clears the same short checklist before it gets a page:
- Is the discount real? I check prices against history (CamelCamelCamel, Keepa, the merchant's own archive). "30% off an inflated MSRP" doesn't count.
- Would a real family use this? If I can't picture someone I know choosing it, it doesn't make the cut — no matter how good the commission is.
- Is the merchant legit? Returns policy, support response time, and at least a few months of independent reviews.
- Does it actually save you something? Money, time, sanity. If the answer is "not really," it gets cut.
When an offer expires or the price stops being competitive, the page comes down. I would rather have fewer listings than stale ones.
How the site makes money
Live Well Offers is funded entirely by affiliate commissions. When you click through and buy something, the merchant pays a small commission — at no extra cost to you. That is what keeps the site free, ad-clutter-free, and independent.
The commission has zero influence on what gets listed or how it gets written about. If I wouldn't recommend it for free, I don't recommend it for a commission. Full details on this are in the affiliate disclosure and the FTC disclosure.
About me
I'm Sonia — the founder, curator, writer, photo-cropper, customer-support person, and occasional debugger of this site. There is no team. There is no marketing department. If you email the contact address, you are emailing me.
My background is in a mix of family logistics and the chronic budget-spreadsheet maintenance that comes with it. I started keeping a private list of offers worth telling friends about, the list got long enough to be useful, and Live Well Offers is what happens when you turn the list into a website.
If you want to reach me directly, the fastest way is the contact form — every message comes straight to my inbox.
What's next
Things I'm working on as a solo operator, in rough order:
- A weekly digest email — opt-in, one email a week, only the offers worth your time.
- Opening up reader submissions so you can flag deals you've found.
- More categories — outdoor gear and travel insurance are the next ones I'm researching properly.
If there's a category, merchant, or kind of offer you wish the site covered, please tell me. The roadmap is mostly shaped by what readers ask for.
Got an offer I should know about?
Or a category you wish was here, or feedback on something that's broken — I read every message myself.
